Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is here at KCC! There are two ways you can participate. 1. Build a Virtual Shoebox online! We’ve set a goal of 25 online shoeboxes by November 24th. Introducing the DINO Squad

DINO Squad Looking for a way to plug in? There is a new squad at KCC. It’s called the DINO squad. DINO stands for Developing Intergenerational Nurturing Opportunities. The DINO Squad is open to anyone, of any age. Our objective is to go out into the community and visit those who aren’t able to get out, feel a little lonely, or could benefit from smiling faces. Kalkaska packs over 50,000 meals for IDES

IDES pack assembles over 50,000 meals!

A giant THANK YOU goes out to the approximately 80 individuals who participated in the IDES pack. The initial goal had been to assemble 50,000 packs, and this goal was not only met but exceeded, with a total of 50,112 packs boxed for potential shipment to the Philippines. The contributions from fish banks, donations from other churches, and proceeds from shirt sales (some still available at $10 each) collectively amounted to over $3,000! KCC helps out a Neighbor

Volunteers from the Kalkaska Church of Christ in partnership with Freedom Builders of Traverse City, Michigan participated in a 2:14 project on Thursday, September 7, 2023. The team installed two doors, a window, and stairs into the home. Georgia Beaver provided a delicious lunch for the workers. Manistee Church of Christ Ordains Elders

On July 23 we sent two of our elders (Rich Hodgman and Scott Kniss) to the Manistee Church of Christ to participate in the ordination of two of their elders (Jim Brand and Will Pegg).  Manistee has been led by these two men for the past few years. As they have taken on the role of preaching and teaching, they thought it appropriate to be placed in that office by their congregation.  Ron Scott, former director of NCCE and interim Senior Minister of How COVID has affected us
