Sermon Big Idea: For peace to come, there has to be chaos. Jeremiah 1:16 The Israelites rejected God by worshiping other gods. 2 Kings 25:1-2 The Israelites were removed by God from his land of peace. Jeremiah 4:1-4 The Israelites were told God would relent if they would repent. Ezra 1:1,5, Nehemiah 1:8-9 The Israelites were restored because of God’s faithfulness. Sermon Title:  Promised Peace Scripture:  Isaiah 9:1-7 Big Idea:  When Jesus came into the world, many things were exposed for what they were and what they could be.  Jesus is the place of peace because of the promise of his coming and the promises He makes. Readiness comes with a responsibility to be active in our faith. The Master trusted us with work while we wait. The Master returned and expected an accounting of our action. The Master was pleased with the profitability. The Master was mad at the misconception How do we ACT on this? Acknowledge the gift Create opportunities Trust that God will make it profitable Knowing the Master is the motivating factor.
