True North VBS

Register your K – 5th grader for True North VBS 2025!
Welcome to True North VBS! We’re so excited to give kids a rock-solid foundation and point them to Jesus, their unmovable, unshakable friend forever. We believe many lives will be transformed by His goodness. VBS will take place in the lower level of KCC from June 23-June 26th. We will meet from 9:00 A.M. – Noon, everyday.
Guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!
Registration closes June 23, 2025.

W.A.S.P. – Wednesdays

W.A.S.P. meets at the Kalkaska Church of Christ. It is the Wednesday After School Program (W.A.S.P.) designed just for your children, from Kindergarten to 2nd grade.
W.A.S.P. meets weekly from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM beginning in September 2024 through April 2025, with breaks for major holidays.
Every week, your kids will enjoy a delicious snack, engage in fun games, and deepen their understanding of God. You’ll be pleased to know that this year’s team of teachers is amazing, and the anticipation for the start of the year is building.
Join the KCC WASP Parents group on Facebook; it’s a great place for all of you to communicate. It’s a private group exclusively for parents, and Sara will occasionally share pictures of your kids there. If you have any concerns about this, don’t hesitate to let her know.
Please keep in mind that W.A.S.P. follows the Kalkaska school calendar, meaning that if there’s no school, W.A.S.P. will not be held.
If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to Sara Blasko.
Get ready for a year filled with fun, learning, and spiritual growth at W.A.S.P. with Sara Blasko, all dedicated to serving Him and ensuring your children’s well-being.
Octane – Thursdays
Octane seeks to build Biblical life skills in your child while providing a safe place to make relationships with a lot of fun! Octane is for 3rd – 5th grade children.
Tweens will be taught to apply the Bible to their lives in order to give them a spiritual foundation preparing them for their Middle School and High School years.
While at Octane your child will participate in activities such as scavenger hunts, swimming, field trips, and community service projects.
Transportation is available to pick up your child.
To stay connected to the Octane program, and communicate about transportation, special events, and more, join the KCC Octane Parents Group on Facebook!
Please keep in mind that Octane follows the Kalkaska school calendar, meaning that if there’s no school, either because of weather or holidays, we will not be meeting.
Octane meets every Thursday from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm beginning on September 2024, to April 2025, with weeks off for major holidays.
Sunday Mornings at 10:30 AM
The purpose of KCC Kidz is two-fold. One is to help parents train their children in Biblical principles that will serve them in daily life. KCC Kidz also provides a place for elementary-age children to receive age-appropriate teaching while their parents can worship with adults and hear messages that apply to their adult season of life.
The Lord’s Supper (communion) is offered each week to children and volunteers who are baptized believers. An offering is taken to support Jemima Jonquille, who is a student at Sonlight Academy in Port-de-Paix, Haiti.
DINO Squad
Looking for a way to plug in? There is a new squad at KCC. It’s called the DINO squad. DINO stands for Developing Intergenerational Nurturing Opportunities. The DINO Squad is open to anyone, any age. Our objective is to go out into the community and visit those who aren’t able to get out, feel a little lonely, or just could benefit from smiling faces.
We will do visits one Monday a month to begin with but visiting times are NOT limited to Mondays. We hope to see this take off and people will develop their own relationships and choose their own times to visit.
Here is how you can get involved.
Sign up to go visit someone with the DINO team or Sign someone up who could use a visit.
If you know of someone that would like a visit, but is not internet savvy, call the church office.
We will notify people prior to visiting. Let’s join together and bust up the loneliness in our community!
