Family
Over the years I have had many different “families” whether it was youth group, a sports team, small group, or Church family. Now, I can add one more family to my story, KCC! Family is a vital part of being human. It doesn’t matter if it’s biological, social, or ideological. No matter how hard you may try, you can’t get away from families, even people who may distance themselves from their family will find a new one wherever they end up. We naturally gravitate to How COVID has affected us
KCC to host Comedy Illusionist Tom Coverly
Tom Coverly will be sharing Sunday morning, July 18, at both the 9:00 am and 10:30 am worship hours and then again Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Railroad Square. Tom Coverly, a former youth pastor for 12 years, felt the call of God on his life to travel the world using comedy magic to share the Gospel. In the first year in 2007, God exploded the door open for Tom to speak in 38 states. This show is a How COVID has affected us
Reflections of a soon-to-be empty nester
My youngest son’s graduation from college is about two weeks away. Looking forward to that has given me time to reflect on raising our sons as one is in the workforce and the other is about to enter the workforce. I was reading a book recently a guy wrote about his 50 years in ministry. In the book, he identifies ten things he would have done differently and ten things he would have done the same. Given we are in How COVID has affected us

When you ask people what they are the most stressed about over Thanksgiving, many will say the same thing…Family! Family dysfunction has been around since the very first family…Cain and Able aren’t exactly the best examples of brotherly love. So how do you ensure that you can have a peaceful and enjoyable holiday season with your How COVID has affected us

by Sara Blasko, Children’s Minister I do not love winter in Northern Michigan. I blame my parents…as missionaries in Haiti while I was growing up, I got to miss out on most of the Northern Michigan winters, and spent most of my winters in the sun. I know a lot of people struggle with depression in the winter simply because of the lack of sun. This year, has been extremely tough on me.
