Summertime
The sun is shining, warmth is in the air! We all know what that means; summertime is here! For many youth ministers across the country, that means camp is just around the corner. I am in full camp mode getting every detail locked in and ready to go for a fun week with high schoolers this July. The camp theme this summer is “You Be the Judge”. IDES pack assembles over 50,000 meals!
A giant THANK YOU goes out to the approximately 80 individuals who participated in the IDES pack. The initial goal had been to assemble 50,000 packs, and this goal was not only met but exceeded, with a total of 50,112 packs boxed for potential shipment to the Philippines. The contributions from fish banks, donations from other churches, and proceeds from shirt sales (some still available at $10 each) collectively amounted to over $3,000! Feed a Camper Food Drive
Our annual food drive for Wilderness Christian Assembly camp will be April 10-April 24, 2022. Each Sunday we’ll stress a different meal of the day. The camp had about 100 campers in 2021. Sunday, April 10th– we ask our church body to sponsor breakfast at $2 per camper. Sunday, April 17th– we ask our church body to sponsor breakfast for campers at $3 per camper Sunday, April 24th– we ask the church body to sponsor supper for campers at $4 per camper. Feed a Camper
The KCC annual food drive for Wilderness Christian Assembly camp is April 11 – April 25, 2021. The camp is planning on about 100 campers this summer. The first Sunday, April 11th, we are asking our church body to sponsor breakfast at $2 per camper. The second Sunday, April 18th, we are asking our church body to sponsor lunch for campers at $3 per camper. The third Sunday, April 25th, we are asking the church body to sponsor supper for campers at $4 per camper. How COVID has affected us
