It seems each week the Lord is adding members to KCC! This Sunday, April 19th at the 8:30 am service Chris & Deborah Zolen came forward to place their membership with the church! Clyde & Linda Napier along with Dean Barnes placed their membership with KCC at the conclusion of the 11:00 worship service! The March Madness NCAA Basketball tournament is over. The Kalkaska Church of Christ held its own CBS bracket. Easter Sunday at KCC set record Sunday morning worship attendance with 615 people attending two morning services! The previous record for a Sunday morning attendance was 580 set at the former location of 152 South Cedar Street. Easter Sunday was highlighted by people coming forward to nail their names on the cross to commemorate what Jesus did for them by dying on a Roman cross for our sins. Five people confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior as they submitted to Christian baptism Wednesday night. We’re celebrating right alongside them as they follow scripture in being immersed into Jesus. We had the privilege to worship with our brothers and sisters in Gonaives yesterday. What a blessing! The church had ordained two Evangelists, 5 Deacons and selected a worship leader. One of the evangelists was brother Mecal who was busy preaching at Pointe Gadin. The other Evangelist was brother Canas. Canas said he became a Christian 30 years ago and was now 46 yrs old.
