Why do you not accept our worship?

Sermon Scripture:  Malachi 2:10-16

1. Our life is an offering to God. (Malachi 2:10)
   1. Presented to Him – Romans 12:1
   2. Presented to others – 2 Corinthians 3:2
   3. Presented to each other – John 13:35
2. Marriage is an offering to God. (Malachi 2:11)
   1. God gave woman to man – Genesis 2
      1. Evenly yoked – 2 Corinthians 6:14
      2. Man is to love her – Ephesians 5:25
      3. Woman is to submit and respect him – Ephesians 5:22,33b
   2. Man leaves mother/father and unites with wife – Genesis 2:24
      1. United after the wedding
      2. Leave and cleave
      3. Provide and protect
3. Israel defiled marriage (Malachi 2:14-15)
   1. Married women that led them away from God – Nehemiah 13:23-27, Ezra 9:2
   2. Divorced the “wife of their youth.”
4. God rejects an imperfect offering (Malachi 2:12,13,16)

On the altar of our praise, may our marriages reflect the perfection of the greatest sacrifice made on our behalf; Jesus.
