Sermon Big Idea:  To understand sex in a marriage relationship is to understand each other.

Song of Solomon 4:1-5:1

1. Time is your friend and so is your spouse
   1. Solomon took time to compliment his wife
   2. Solomon took time to admire his wife
   3. Solomon took time to explore his wife
2. Romance is an art so don’t settle for dogs playing poker
   1. Solomon used flattering words
   2. Solomon’s words painted a vivid picture
   3. Solomon’s words were suggestive but not crude
3. Sex is for you and your spouse so don’t go window shopping
   1. Solomon celebrated Shulamite’s virginity
   2. Solomon celebrated that Shulamite was his and his alone

Song of Solomon 5:2-8

1. Sex is not a tool
   1. Shulamite was upset
   2. Shulamite was withholding sex
   3. Shulamite felt the consequences of her sin

The issue of sex is the same issue man has faced since the beginning.  We make it a god.
