D-GROUPS (Discipleship Groups)
This Sunday night we’re taking the youth ministry to the next level by kicking off D-Groups! D-Groups is a weekly discipleship group where our High Schoolers will be circling up and reading the scriptures aloud, then openly discussing what they’ve read. I will have pointed questions prepared to help steer them in the right direction, but I am so excited to see where God steers them through their conversation. This is not a night where they’re coming to hear an adult give a How COVID has affected us
POINT ME TO JESUS
Our KCC E-News articles over the years have covered a myriad of topics from Godly worship to Christian living to raising children. But when all is said and done, our goal is to point every reader to Jesus, the son of God. Jesus the Christ. Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus, our LORD and Savior. Jesus, the I AM. He is 100% man and 100% God at the same time. The Son of God and the Son of Man. Jesus, born of a How COVID has affected us
WILL YOU PLEASE JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION!?!
Well, I did it! I shouldn’t have, and I wish I had two hours of my life back, but I did it. I watched the debate. So many other things I could have done, but I watched the debate. I even started reading a new book and set it down once the debate started and I should have just kept reading the book. Ironically, the book was about having a Biblical worldview. And the difference between a Christian worldview and How COVID has affected us
CHRIST, THE REASON FOR EVERY SEASON
It’s September, and yet here we are, planning for Christmas. It might seem a bit early, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s never too soon to prepare for the celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We often associate Christmas with snow, gifts, and family gatherings. But the true reason for the season is far more profound. It’s about the love of God, manifested in the person of Jesus Christ.“For God so loved the world that How COVID has affected us
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is here at KCC! There are two ways you can participate. 1. Build a Virtual Shoebox online! We’ve set a goal of 25 online shoeboxes by November 24th. Use the how-to directions from the OCC display in the lobby to shop and fill a shoebox for a How COVID has affected us
Even the Smallest Person
One of my favorite movie phrases comes from The Lord of the Rings: “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.” This resonates with me because Freya was born at less than 4 lbs, she has changed the future of myself, Molly, and many others as well. This is one of the many reasons I love God’s word. It’s filled with stories of ordinary people doing crazy things for God. God can use anybody. God can use YOU. How COVID has affected us
“I don’t Know”
I hate not knowing the answer to a question. I don’t like having to say, “I don’t know.” I feel like it’s some sort of failure. A blemish in my character. I should know, but I don’t. It may also be a prideful thing. The professor, the teacher would know the answer. The student…probably not. Sometimes I don’t know because I have forgotten. Other times I don’t know because I never knew. Regardless of why I have to say “I don’t know” I How COVID has affected us
Sign Posts Pointing to God
God’s creation is fascinating! During our SCUBA VBS, the kids learned about different undersea animals. Did you know that the octopus has a tiny brain at the end of each of its 8 tentacles? That allows each one of its arms to move faster and independently. An octopus also has 3 hearts; 2 pump blood to the gills, and one to the rest of the body. It was on the 5th day of creation that God said, “Let the water team with living creatures…” An octopus How COVID has affected us
16 Freedoms we Have in Christ
This week people throughout the United States celebrate the freedom we have as Americans. But, the concept of freedom didn’t originate with the founding of the United States. It’s found throughout the pages of the Bible, culminating with the person and work of Christ. Jesus declared, “Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). As believers, we enjoy numerous freedoms because of what Jesus has done for those who have placed their trust in How COVID has affected us
