It’s September, and yet here we are, planning for Christmas. It might seem a bit early, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s never too soon to prepare for the celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. |
We often associate Christmas with snow, gifts, and family gatherings. But the true reason for the season is far more profound. It’s about the love of God, manifested in the person of Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17) He came into the world not just to be born, but to live, die, and rise again, conquering sin and death. His sacrifice is the ultimate expression of God’s love for humanity. “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10) So, as we plan for Christmas, let us remember that Christ is the reason for every season. His love and grace are not confined to a single day or a particular time of year. They are available to us every day, in every circumstance.Let us strive to live our lives in a way that reflects His love and glorifies His name. |
