Pick up an IDES Fish Bank from the church lobby, take it home, and fill it with your spare change, dollar bills, or whatever God lays on your heart. Then return your filled fish bank to the church by Sunday, August 16.
Every donation helps support International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES) as they provide emergency food to families facing hunger and crisis around the world. Your simple act of generosity becomes a meal, a reminder of God’s love, and a source of hope for people in desperate situations.
Whether your fish bank is filled with pennies, quarters, or larger gifts, every contribution matters. Together, our church family can make a lasting impact.

Be part of a hands-on opportunity to make a lasting difference! The Kalkaska area churches are once again partnering with International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES) to pack thousands of nutritious meals for people facing hunger and disaster around the world.

This is a family-friendly event, and volunteers of all ages are welcome. Whether you’ve packed meals before or this is your first time, you’ll receive simple instructions and be part of an assembly line that is both fun and meaningful.
Every meal packed provides hope to people affected by natural disasters, poverty, war, and other crises. Together, we can make a tangible difference, one meal at a time.
What to Expect:
- Fast-paced, fun meal-packing assembly lines
- Opportunities for individuals, families, youth groups, and church groups
- A chance to serve alongside Christians from across Northern Michigan
- A potluck lunch at the food pack (bring a dish to share if you’re able)
No special skills are needed, just a willing heart and helping hands!
