COVID-15 Update

Friday, January 29, 2021 – Present – KCC is open on Sunday mornings for worship. All our children’s programming for kids 5th grade and younger is open at 10:30 am. Youth Group for Jr. High and High School is meeting Sunday evenings from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in the lower level.

Monday, December 14, 2020 – Our KCC Kidz area, preschool, toddlers, and nursery will be back open beginning, Sunday December 20, 2020. The lower level has been completely redesigned with safety, space, and efficiency in mind. Your children are going to love their new areas created specially with them in mind! Check out the walk-through before you come.

Friday, December 4, 2020 – KCC will re-open Sunday, December 13, 2020 following a 3-week closure coinciding with a state-wide shutdown of schools and restaurants. Assuming the inspection of our lower level will be completed, we are also planning to open up the Nursery, Toddler, PreSchool, and KCC Kidz. The same safety protocols will be in place as we gather:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Use hand sanitizer
  • Keep socially distanced
  • Temperatures are taken at the door
  • Wear a mask
  • Please keep your coat with you

Thursday, November 19, 2020 – After a lengthy discussion, the Eldership of the Kalkaska Church of Christ has decided to go Online only for Sunday worship for the next 3 weeks. This decision is in keeping with the local and state health guidelines as we witness the surge in COVID-19 cases.

We encourage you to watch Sunday services online if possible. You’ll find the links on kccwired.com. If you do not have online access, we can send you either a DVD or a CD of Sunday’s service. Simply email or call the church office (231-258-9441) and request it.

Friday, November 13, 2020 – We have decided to close our Tiny Tots wing (Nursery and Toddler care) until further notice due to the rise of Covid cases in our area.

Saturday, November 7, 2020 – A GPS air filtration system has been installed in the Worship Center at the church. Global Plasma Solutions NMBI purifies the air circulating through the room and claims to remove 99.4% of the COVID virus. GPS reports 99.4% kill rate of SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19). Read more here!]

Through our patented technology, needlepoint bipolar ionization, also known as NPBI™, our products purify indoor air by reducing airborne particulates, odors and pathogens — all while saving you energy consumption and lowering your carbon footprint.

GPS delivers clean indoor air without producing ozone or other harmful byproducts.

Sunday, October 11, 2020 – The Tiny Tots wing (Nursery and Toddler care) will be open for childcare during the 10:30 am service. Plan to check your child in prior to leaving him/her.

Sunday, June 14, 2020 – After months of just online worship, KCC is opening it’s doors back to in-person worship. We will offer 2 identical services on Sunday mornings: One at 9:00 am and another at 10:30 am. Alternating row seating will be designated by signage. Sanitizing will take place between services of the Worship Center, lobby area, bathrooms, doors, etc. We also are asking the following:

  • If you are sick, please stay home.
  • Please wear a mask (masks are available in the lobby if you don’t have one)
  • Use hand sanitizer (available in the lobby)
  • Maintain social distancing of 6 feet or more
  • Observe the designated foot traffic floor to enter and exit the building
Returning to In-Person worship
