KCC helps out a Neighbor

Volunteers from the Kalkaska Church of Christ in partnership with Freedom Builders of Traverse City, Michigan participated in a 2:14 project on Thursday, September 7, 2023. The team installed two doors, a window, and stairs into the home. Georgia Beaver provided a delicious lunch for the workers. Manistee Church of Christ Ordains Elders

On July 23 we sent two of our elders (Rich Hodgman and Scott Kniss) to the Manistee Church of Christ to participate in the ordination of two of their elders (Jim Brand and Will Pegg).  Manistee has been led by these two men for the past few years. As they have taken on the role of preaching and teaching, they thought it appropriate to be placed in that office by their congregation.  Ron Scott, former director of NCCE and interim Senior Minister of How COVID has affected us

Who is My Neighbor? KCC to help put on new roof

KCC is part of a roofing project for a local widow. She was been living in a house with a leaking roof, using buckets to catch the water when it rains. Freedom builders of Traverse City, members of the Amish community, and KCC have all committed to putting a new roof on for her. BSF for Women (in person) Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) is an international organization that believes that people discover their true purpose and identity by discovering God through His Word.  This fall begins KCC’s second year of hosting this in-depth Bible study for women. The study will meet in the lower level of KCC each Monday night at 7 PM beginning Monday, September 12, 2022.    BSF uses a 4-fold approach to studying scriptures. Update from H.O.P.E. Missions

I’m packed and ready to fly to Haiti. Lord willing, I’ll leave Michigan on Tuesday and arrive Wednesday, May 11 around noon. I’ve been planning and watching and listening and praying, looking for the right time to make a trip.  There will never be a perfect time, we just pray.  It’s in God’s time. Feed a Camper Food Drive

Our annual food drive for Wilderness Christian Assembly camp will be April 10-April 24, 2022. Each Sunday we’ll stress a different meal of the day.  The camp had about 100 campers in 2021. Sunday, April 10th– we ask our church body to sponsor breakfast at $2 per camper. Sunday, April 17th– we ask our church body to sponsor breakfast for campers at $3 per camper Sunday, April 24th– we ask the church body to sponsor supper for campers at $4 per camper.   How COVID has affected us
