Using Your Gifts

Using Your Gifts

I Peter 4:10-11 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.

This verse along with many others such as Romans 12: 3-8, I Corinthians 12:7, and I Timothy 4:14, teaches us to use our gifts that God has given us for His glory and to serve others. So whether you can sing, act, speak, play an instrument, or cook there is a way to use your talent to serve other people and God.

This past Sunday was our annual Youth Sunday and it was amazing to see! The youth led the music, the message, and the communion meditations, but that’s not all they were also the greeters, the tech team, and they passed out the bulletins. It truly was a youth Sunday!

I’m so proud of our kids and their eagerness to use their gifts that God has given them to lead others to Him. It was a privilege to see them leading and I am very blessed to be their youth minister. How are you going to use your gifts for the kingdom?
