Unshaken in the Storm

Unshaken in the Storm

If you’ve been paying attention to the world lately, you might feel overwhelmed — wars, political unrest, economic tension, and moral confusion seem to saturate every headline. It’s easy to feel anxious or disoriented, wondering where truth can even be found. But as followers of Christ, we don’t have to wander in that fog. We have an anchor: the unchanging Word of God.

Jesus prayed in John 17:17, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” In a world full of shifting narratives, God’s Word remains steady, reliable, and life-giving. When the noise of the world becomes too loud, we must intentionally lean into God’s promises — not just for comfort, but for clarity and direction.

Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Even when we can’t see the whole road ahead, Scripture gives us just enough light to take the next faithful step.

Let’s be people who seek hope, not in headlines or opinions, but in the promises of God. Let’s replace fear with faith by remembering Romans 15:4 — “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

This week, take time to sit with God’s Word. Let His truth cut through the noise. And as you do, may your heart be lifted by the hope that only He provides.

It’s a powerful reminder that no matter what shakes around us, our God will not.
