2 Timothy 2:2
- The Gospel is to be shared with witnesses.
- Angels – In the company of God – Job 1:6;
- Shepherds – Symbolic or practical? – Psalm 23:1, Matthew 9:36; Genesis 47:3-4
Why do you think Jesus chose angels and shepherds for this occasion?
- Witnesses must be reliable.
- Angels – Genesis 19 story (1,10-11,13); Obedient – Psalm 103:20
- Shepherds – 2:8 – doing their job, 15-16 – talked and ran
What are the qualities of a reliable witness of the Gospel today?
- Reliable means they believe the message.
- Angels – Luke 2:10
- Shepherds – Luke 2:20
