Big Idea:  Jehoshaphat felt the nations closing in on him and begged God for guidance.  When we pray, we are asking God for guidance, even as the world is closing in around us.

20:1-2

  1. Sometimes it feels as though the world is closing in on us and so we pray.

20:3-4

  1. Life can be terrifying, in response we pray and ask others to pray with us.

20:5-9

  1. When we pray we acknowledge God and we acknowledge what we know about God.

20:10-12

  1. Prayer is accepting we are limited in our power and understanding.
