Frienemy

4. Friends are caring and close.  (1 Samuel 20:41-42; 2 Samuel 1:12)
5. Friends stay courageously true to their covenant.  (20:42; 24:10; 2 Samuel 9:7)

Why friendships fail?

1. Sharpening is done by friction (Proverbs 27:17)
2. Confession moves the bar (James 5:16)
3. A bad connection (James 4:1-10)

Strong friendship exists when we become the friend we expect others to be to us.
