Living Water

There isn’t too many things more satisfying on a hot day than a cold drink. God has provided us with living water that once we taste it, we won’t settle for anything else. Too many times we keep trying to find satisfaction on our own when God has already provided for us more than we could ever know.

A Double Edged Sword

Matthew 5:9-12 Philippians 4:6-7 Jesus asks us to have a peace that surpasses human understanding. Jesus asks us to endure persecution like the prophets. With both, He promises us adoption. John 12:1-8 Mary chose perfume over picketing. Mary was chastised not cheered. Matthew 26:13 Mary was memorialized by her maker. John 18:4-12 Peter chose a sword over sonship. Peter was chastised not cheered. Peter thought he was protecting the Prince of Peace.  Mary was protecting a promise. Jesus asks us How COVID has affected us

The Echocardiogram

Matthew 5:7-8 Acts 2:42-47 Matthew 18:21-35 It’s exhausting to see people in a cycle of sin. In order to show mercy, you have to wield some power. A life apart from God’s mercy is costly. Mercy forgives, it doesn’t prolong the inevitable. Matthew 9:9-13 The difference between mercy and sacrifice is the heart. Psalm 51

The Right Stuff

Two important words when discussing hurts, habits, and hangups are: ADMIT and SUBMIT Matthew 4:1-11 Philippians 2:5-8 The stuff Satan used was… Hunger for the physical Hunger for help Hunger for power Matthew 5:5-6 The stuff Jesus said to pursue is… Gentleness Righteousness The most important question when discussing hurts, habits, and hangups is: TO WHOM ARE YOU SUBMITTING?

Who Are You?

Addiction starts as an escape from reality. Escape becomes addiction when gratification becomes desire. Desire is something we prioritize and are willing to sacrifice for. In other words, we want to be god. Breaking addiction starts with… solidifying whose we are. seeking His will for His creation. staying “poor in spirit” with a mourning heart. Who are you?  I am a prince/princess, because I am a child of the one true King!

A New Ewe

Moses… was so self-absorbed he couldn’t see what he had just witnessed. was afraid of being dismissed. doubted God’s power where he was weak. was fine with the change, as long as someone else did it. Change… is vanity if not done in covenant with God. brought about by God’s mighty hand is tough change. The best change was transformational change that took place on the cross. comes from God.  The one who never changes! Be all in with God, How COVID has affected us
