The Annual Luncheon is a 49-year tradition in the community to celebrate the Kalkaska community and recognize and honor the Kalkaska Business and Citizen of the Year. In addition, the event supports a scholarship award for Miss Kalkaska and ? new this year! ? event proceeds will support the Endowment for Kalkaska Area at the Community Foundation. This Endowment is dedicated to supporting the Kalkaska community and grants are decided by Community Foundation Board Directors from Kalkaska County. Previous grants have supported things like the Kalkaska Conservation District Rugg Pond project, the Father Fred Blessings in a Backpack program, the Northwoods Animal Coalition, the Kalkaska Baby Pantry, K.A.I.R., and the Kalkaska Commission on Aging Senior Center.
The 2019 Kalkaska Annual Luncheon is being hosted by the TC Chamber of Commerce and the Community Foundation with support from presenting sponsor, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
The luncheon will be held from 11:30 am to 1pm on Wednesday, April 24 at the Kalkaska Church of Christ. Tickets are $20.
