The vigil begins with fellowship and a brief prayer for the community followed by a viewing of the short film, “Faces of Addiction.” Produced by students at the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District’s Career-Tech Center, the movie features stories from Kalkaska County residents. The event also features local musician Damien Allen, an on-site grief counselor and resource information. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 2, 2018 from 5-8 pm at the Kalkaska Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday December 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Kalkaska Church of Christ with final visitation starting at 10:00 AM. 2018 KAIR Festival of Trees is Saturday, November 10th – Sunday, November 18th at the Northland Plaza in Kalkaska, Michigan. Hours are 10am – 7pm (10am-3pm Nov. 18th only). Walk through a beautiful display of Christmas trees. Participate in raffles and silent auctions all week long. The monies raised go directly to the Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resource (KAIR).
