✈️ The Plan
KCC is excited to announce a short-term mission trip to Son-International in Tanzania, Africa, planned for June 2026! This is a unique opportunity to visit and serve alongside our long-time mission partners, Todd and Ann Ziems, whom our church has faithfully supported for over five years. During this trip, we’ll experience firsthand the incredible work God is doing through Son-International, build relationships with local communities, and grow together in faith and service. Registration is now open, and we invite you to prayerfully consider joining this life-changing journey.

- Dates: Late June – Early July (2 weeks)
- Location: Son-International, Morogoro, Tanzania
- Cost: TBD (see breakdown below)
- Registration: Now Open
- Deposit: $500 per person (non-refundable)
👨👩👧👦 Who Can Go?
- Teens & Kids (12 & older) may join if a parent is present
- No small children, please
🛂 Travel Requirements
- Valid passport (must not expire within 6 months of return)
- Tourist visa required ($100, obtained closer to trip)
- Travel insurance strongly recommended
💉 Health & Vaccinations
Please consult your medical provider for personal recommendations. Typical requirements include:
- Tetanus (up to date)
- Hepatitis B
- Typhoid (discuss with your doctor)
- Anti-malarial medication
Major Cost Categories
- Airfare
- Flights into Dar es Salaam are standard; Morogoro is possible but harder to schedule.
- Best options: Delta/KLM via Amsterdam, Turkish Air, Qatar, or Emirates.
- Approximate range: $1,500 – $3,500 (varies by season, airline, and departure city).
- Accommodation & Food
- Range: $30 – $125 per person/day, depending on lodging and meals.
- Some team members may stay at the Son-International house, if space allows.
- Ground Transportation
- Travel from Dar to Morogoro and within Tanzania.
- Estimate for a team of 10–15: $250 – $400/day, including driver, fuel, and vehicle.
- Game Safari (Optional but Recommended)
- 24-hour safari at a tourist resort: $200 – $300 per person.
- Transport cost additional and based on group size.
- Indian Ocean Beach Visit (Optional)
- Suggested 1-day or overnight trip.
- Cost: $100 – $250 per person, depending on duration and activities.
