Ahtapa & Leah Sinlee (Asian Gospel Outreach)
Ahtapa Sinlee, a dedicated missionary with Asian Gospel Outreach, serves alongside his wife, Leah, to spread the Gospel and nurture future Christian leaders in Southeast Asia. Operating across five countries, Ahtapa mentors young evangelists and leads the Kids for Christ ministry, providing a Christian hostel for children from remote villages lacking quality education. His holistic approach, rooted in Romans 12:1-2, integrates daily Bible study, worship, chores, education, and career training to empower Lisu children as present-day evangelists and future leaders. Ahtapa’s work includes facilitating culturally relevant music, producing leadership training materials, and conducting village evangelism, all while modeling a Christ-like, servant-based life.
Great Lakes Christian College (Lansing, Michigan)
Great Lakes Christian College (GLCC) in Lansing, Michigan, is dedicated to building a foundation for life through intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth. Offering a quality education with 75% of full-time professors holding doctorates, GLCC ensures academic excellence rooted in scholarship. Spiritually, the college fosters a vibrant faith environment through classes, weekly chapel gatherings, small groups, and campus relationships, encouraging students to deepen their walk with Jesus. Beyond career preparation, GLCC emphasizes holistic transformation, equipping students to make a positive impact through athletics, campus events, and meaningful interactions with faculty and staff.
Michigan Christian Campus Ministries (His House Christian Fellowship in Lansing, Michigan)
His House Christian Fellowship, based in East Lansing, Michigan, is a dynamic campus ministry dedicated to impacting college students across thirteen Michigan campuses with the Gospel, equipping them to become world changers. Led by a committed team including Founder Gary Hawes and Executive Director Scott Austin, His House fosters vibrant communities through weekly meetings featuring praise, worship, teaching, and fellowship. Small group Bible studies deepen students’ faith through discussion and relationships, while mission trips—both domestic and international—during academic breaks empower students to serve globally. Annual retreats unite campuses for transformative weekends of teaching and community building.
Ray & Hannah Fettes (His House Christian Ministry at Ferris State University)
Ray and Hannah Fettes serve as Associate Campus Ministers with His House Christian Fellowship at Ferris State University, fostering a welcoming community for students to explore and grow in their faith. Ray and Hannah guide students through dynamic ministry activities, including weekly gatherings like “That Wednesday Nite Thing,” where they dive into God’s Word, and “No Christians Allowed” sessions, which invite open questions about Christianity. They also support small groups and discipleship to encourage spiritual growth and meaningful connections. Their work creates a space for students to belong, serve, and thrive in their relationship with Christ.
Pat & Emily Hill (His House Christian Ministry at Northwestern Michigan College)
Pat Hill, serving as Campus Minister, and Emily Hill, serving as Administrative Assistant, are integral members of His House Christian Fellowship at Northern Michigan University. Their mission is to foster a vibrant community where students can belong, serve, and grow in Christ. Pat provides spiritual leadership, guiding students through worship, small groups, and community events, while Emily supports the ministry’s operations, ensuring smooth coordination of activities like weekly game nights, worship nights, and Bible studies. Together, they create an inviting environment for students to connect with God and each other, encouraging spiritual growth and active faith.
K.A.I.R. (Kalkaska Area Interface Resources in Kalkaska, Michigan)
Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resources (KAIR) is a community-based, all-faiths volunteer organization in Kalkaska, Michigan, dedicated to serving the elderly, frail, disabled, isolated, and needy of Kalkaska County. Located at 324 S. Cedar St., KAIR operates a food pantry, resale store, and client services, providing essential support such as canned and fresh foods, clothing, and community meals. In 2024, KAIR served 17,558 people, distributing 350,378 pounds of food through its pantry and meal site. Supported by local churches, businesses, and individuals, KAIR offers curbside pantry services and operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 am to 3 pm (pantry) and 10 am to 4 pm (resale store).
Tim and Samira Krauss – Go Ministries – Dominican Republic
Tim and Samira Krauss serve as key leaders with GO Ministries in the Dominican Republic, empowering local leaders to make disciples through church planting, medical outreach, and sports initiatives. Tim, as Senior Vice President of Ministry Alignment, ensures strategic coherence across GO Ministries’ efforts, while Samira, as Chief Financial Officer, oversees financial operations to support the ministry’s mission of redeeming people, renewing communities, and restoring creation. Their work, rooted in a deep commitment to the Gospel, includes supporting the Leadership Development Complex to train future disciple-makers and facilitating short-term mission trips to foster a disciple-making culture. Based in Santiago, they collaborate with local leaders like the Gabriel family to expand the ministry’s impact across Hispaniola.
Jeff & Carol Badgero – [H.O.P.E.Mission – Helping Others Prepare for Eternity]
Jeff and Carol Badgero, missionaries with H.O.P.E. Missions, have served Haiti for over 30 years, bringing hope to impoverished communities through practical aid and spiritual outreach.
Based in Kalkaska, Michigan, their work focuses on drilling water wells, developing fish ponds, and delivering medical supplies and personnel to remote mountainous areas with no access to clinics. Utilizing a donated Zenith STOL CH 701 aircraft, Jeff, a licensed pilot, has undertaken challenging flights, such as the January 2015 journey from Florida to Haiti, to transport critical resources.
Their non-profit ministry emphasizes sustainable development and sharing the Gospel, supported by community prayers and donations.
New Churches of Christ Evangelism (Mount Pleasant, MI)
New Churches of Christ Evangelism (NCCE), based in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, is dedicated to planting healthy, reproducing churches across the Great Lakes region and beyond, fulfilling the Great Commission as outlined in Acts 1:8. Led by Executive Director Matt Schanz, NCCE partners with churches, individuals, and organizations to support church planters and congregations in establishing new faith communities.
With a legacy of planting dozens of churches over the past 50 years under leaders like Virgil Felton and Ron Scott, NCCE achieved its goal of launching eight churches in eight years by 2023. Their ministry emphasizes quality, enduring churches that prioritize soul-winning and faithfulness to God’s Word.
School of Christ (Jaques Mytel in Gonaives, Haiti)
The Kalkaska Church of Christ has partnered with the School of Christ in Gonaives for nearly two decades. The school is directed by Jacques Mytel, who serves faithfully as both principal and teacher while also shepherding a local congregation.
Through prayer, encouragement, and financial support, we are grateful to take part in this long-standing ministry that is helping share the love of Christ and invest in the next generation.
Son-International (Todd & Ann Ziems in Tanzania, Africa)
Son-International is located in Tanzania, Africa, and specializes in providing clean drinking water to villages all around the area as well as teaching and training that Jesus gives “water” so you’ll never thirst again!
Serving Our Neighbor (Son)-International began in January 2003 by Todd and Ann Ziems from Buchanan, Michigan. Beginning with family short-term mission trips in 1997, the Ziems discovered that they had a heart for sharing with and reaching out to those in physical and spiritual need. Two of the greatest things people need in developing countries, including Tanzania, are the love of Jesus Christ and clean drinking water
Sonlight Ministry / Sonlight Academy (John & Carmen Neihaus in Port-de-Paix, Haiti)
Sonlight Ministries exists to reach and train Haitian people to reach and train others for the Kingdom of God by effectively communicating the Gospel through education, lifestyle, and words.
Carmen moved to Haiti in 1987 after finishing her Master’s in Education and helped start Sonlight Academy. John visited Haiti with a group from his church and knew God was calling him to sell his excavating company in the US and work at Sonlight. He and Carmen were married in 2004 and Bella joined their family in 2008.
Carmen is the Academy principal, John is the Field Director, and Bella, a senior at Sonlight Academy, often helps her mom organize school supplies and teaches Wow Worship for 4th-6th graders every Sunday.

Our mission is to encourage, restore, and renew individuals impacted by the sex industry, addiction, abuse or behavioral health issues so they can live a healthy, abundant and flourishing life.
Rebecca McDermont is first and most importantly, a follower of Jesus Christ. She has overcame childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, poverty, the sex industry and so much more.
In 1988, Rebecca found herself on probation and looking at the possibility of going to prison. In the middle of the darkness that she lived in, she decided to reach out to her childhood best friend whom she had forgotten about. He answered her prayers and through the power of his love and truth, her life and her mind were renewed!
Wilderness Christian Assembly (Ted & Heidi Peasley in Kalkaska, Michigan)
Each day’s schedule is filled with Bible classes, worship hours, and devotionals. Recreation time is planned to ensure the best use of time for fun and fellowship. Kind and giving volunteers comprise the staff during the summer camping season. At WCA, memories and friends are made that last a lifetime.
One of the longest-supported local mission of the Kalkaska Church of Christ is Wilderness Christian Assembly (WCA). WCA is located just east of Kalkaska on Kniss Road. The camp is directed by Ted & Heidi Peasly. Find WCA on Facebook too.
Wilderness Christian Assembly is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing young people with a wholesome program of Bible study, spiritual growth, and personal enrichment in a Christian atmosphere.
Woodburn Christian Children’s Home – (Joe and Vikki Heins)

The Woodburn Christian Children’s Home promotes spiritual, mental, and physical well-being through the development of Christian faith and values, along with positive attitudes, the exercise of cognitive process and the practice of healthy living principles. WCCH instills these principles on a daily basis as we practice consistent Christian family living with the children in our care.
Joe is the Executive Director of Woodburn Christian Children’s Home. He holds an MA in Sociology, BA in Preaching/Church Leadership, and was an Electrical Engineer prior to ministry. Joe is a “systems thinker,” viewing families and organizations as an emotional system (BFST). Married to Vikki for 30 years, Joe is the father of four adult children and six grandchildren.
