The Gospel in a Word
I recently read about a preacher, who when it was his time to get up and deliver the message, sat in his front-row seat for what seemed like five minutes while the stage was empty. When Did You Get Broken?
When did you get broken? You may not be able to pinpoint a date, but over time we all lost that innocent confidence that comes with childhood. I recently decided to do a self-worth lesson for my 4th and 5th graders. I thought they could be at the brink of that brokenness. Stories. Everybody loves a good story. At least, I know I do! The best stories are the ones that are relatable and believable; ones that you can just lose yourself in. Jesus was a master at telling good stories. His stories about everyday life painted a perfect picture of what it was like to live in the kingdom of God. His stories made people’s heads turn. Something New in 2022
Happy New Year! Does entering into a new year, excite you? The time of new beginnings, new resolutions, and new opportunities? A Year in Review
I was on a Zoom call with some Michigan ministers several weeks ago. I was in a bit of a funk thinking about the Christmas season and what exactly we were going to study. Happy Birthday Jesus
It’s almost my best friend’s birthday!!! I’m so excited to celebrate! Of course, I’m referring to my bestie Jesus! I like to look at Christmas as more of a birthday party for him so that I remember WHY we are celebrating. It can get a little too reindeer, green tree, shopping, lights, and movies for me.
