Cornerstone Campaign

Join us Sunday, October 16th for our Homecoming & Dedication service in our new building!

Cornerstone CampaignThe current building campaign, "Coming Home" is crossing the finish line. After a generous grant and years of faithful giving, God has opened the door for us to complete the building project which will house the Kalkaska Church of Christ.

Phrase 3 - “Coming Home”

We have had two 3-year periods of pledges for the new church building. The financial support has been impressive. As a result, you can see what we have accomplished with no debt. The first campaign was “We Can Do It” and we did get the project started. The second campaign was “Raise It Up” and that was exactly what happened. We now enter the next three years of the building project when we plan to occupy the church building so we will call this phase, “Coming Home.”

Continued Financial Support Needed

Our eldership is very aware that there are tremendous financial issues facing many of our families. We can be nothing but amazed at the churches continued financial support of the ministries and building efforts. This leadership wants you to know two things. First, we know that some will be unable to maintain their present or past giving. In the same manner, there are others who now can step up to provide financial blessings. This decision is something that everyone must decide based on their own. Secondly, the leadership must encourage our congregation to experience the blessings of financial giving to God’s work. We know that God owns everything. We are his stewards and managers of these resources. There are volumes of scriptures that deal with wealth and attitudes in regard to money. There is no question that giving of our resources to the Lord is a blessing that we need in our Christian life.

Annual Meeting in January

The Campaign will work in this manner. A more detailed financial report of the building project will be presented at the church’s annual meeting in January. This will include our anticipated funds needed to complete the building project. The level of mortgage that the church could be subjected to will also be presented. At this annual meeting, pledge cards will be handed out. We will also mail out information along with pledge cards to any others not at the meeting. Once we have these pledges back within the 2 week time period, we can get a better idea of what our church family feels they can in good faith pledge for God’s work. May we continue to pray for God’s guidance in this exciting journey of faith.
